Designed for those with leadership responsibilities, this workshop provides leaders with strategies for fostering a positive team spirit while recognizing individual “stars.”
  • Compassion Fatigue: Inviting Your Demons to Tea
    Designed for personal and professional caregivers, this workshop looks at the external and internal contributors to fatigue and burnout. Participants are encouraged to revisualize their goals as caregivers and identify the “hooks” that make them feel ineffective. Suggestions for restoring balance and re-energizing are explored.
  • Talking to Families about Hospice
    Discusses ways to introduce the concept of hospice to families in a comfortable and natural way. Highlights cues that patients and families give that indicate they are ready for hospice care.
  • Dealing with the Challenging Individual or Family
    Encourages administrators and staff to think about stressful relationships in more creative, flexible ways that get us “unstuck” and foster healthy resolutions.
  • The Volunteer’s Role in Hospice
    A brief overview of the “team” concept of care and the variety of ways that volunteers can be part of that team by supporting staff, patients, families and/or hospice projects.
